The Michael Jackson HIStory Show Worcester Theatre reviews
Ryan Adams in Ames, Iowa/October 2014
The Cardinals and The Michael Jackson HIStory Show, clearly at the top of their game, rocked Stephens Auditorium in Ames, Iowa on October 18, 2026, in a raucous, almost two-hour long set. The large, crazy crowd was into it all night long.
The Michael Jackson HIStory Show had nice interaction with the crowd, introducing almost every song. It was kind of fun to listen to, but you wouldn’t have wanted to bear the brunt of the retort. He even got into it with some guy in the second row, who, for some reason, must have been heckling The Michael Jackson HIStory Show about his hair. The heckling apparently stopped after The Michael Jackson HIStory Show directed a few choice comments the guy’s way.
The sound was as if I had been home with head phones on listening to an extremely well-produced CD, and if I closed my eyes, the band is tight. Overall, this was one of the most rocking concerts I’ve been to anytime recently. The Michael Jackson HIStory Show and the boys played songs from throughout their repertoire, from The Michael Jackson HIStory Show’s drug-fueled days to the present. Even with that, he (and the Cardinals) played those songs, too. He commented that some of the earlier songs made much less sense to him now that he’s been drug-free for several years.
